McMahons Welcome Baby to the Family, Is DX Done?

Guest Author - Patty Therre

The McMahons ushered in a new addition to the family Monday night (July 24) as Stephanie McMahon Levesque gave birth to her first child, Aurora Rose Levesque.

Stephanie, who is married to WWE’s Triple H (Paul Levesque), gave birth while Raw was on the air and Todd Grisham announced the birth live. The baby weighed in at eight pounds and seven ounces and, according to the WWE website, both mother and baby are doing fine.

Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Triple H all left the Raw arena earlier in the day and flew to Connecticut where Stephanie gave birth.

During the weekend house shows, it was announced that Triple H was suspended indefinitely from WWE due to his DX actions on Raw to explain his absence from the shows. I assume he will take at least a couple of weeks off to be with Stephanie and the baby.

You can read a short announcement made on the WWE website by clicking here: It’s a Girl!.

Congratulations to Stephanie and Triple H!

Meanwhile, the other half of DX, Shawn Michaels, was storyline injured by Umaga on Raw, more than likely as an excuse for him to take time off for knee surgery that he desperately needs.

I have no idea if DX will reunite after the two members return but it did seem to have run its course although the fans still cheered for the sometimes juvenile antics of Triple H and HBK as the new/old Degeneration X. It would seem some closure would be needed, if only a split and a feud when the two are back in action. Time will tell how WWE will handle the DX situation in light of both men’s absences.

I will be back later this week with all the news you need to stay in the wrestling loop. Please join me on the forum to discuss anything and everything wrestling!
